Bryan Morris pitched a scoreless inning. Starling Marte was 2 for 4. Jose Morales went 1 for 3. Akron 2, Altoona 1 – Brandon Cumpton started and gave up just 1 run over 6 1/3 innings. He struck out 6 and walked 4. Victor Black pitched 2 scoreless innings of relief. Brock Holt went 2 for 5. Miles Durham and Charles Cutler were both 1 for 3.
