Player of the Game Zach McAllister was the top player tonight, despite being pulled during the sixth inning. He allowed just a single run and four hits. McAllister pitched well enough to earn the win as well since the Indians managed to get two runs behind him in the rain shortened game. Feathers Up The Astros managed to play things tight with the Indians again tonight, keeping a score of 1-1 for the first four innings for the second night in a row. In the fourth, Houston committed two errors, turning a possible, but unlikely, double play into a run scored and a situation with runners at second and third. The Astros have been the worst team in the league defensively this year and, while it wasn't too obvious last night, it was very clear in today's game. Rain saved the Indians' bullpen a few innings tonight, shortening the game to just seven innings. The relievers that did pitch were excellent with Marc Rzepczynski and Bryan Shaw throwing perfect outings. Shaw earned a decision for the second night in a row, earning a hold after last night's win. Feathers Down Zach McAllister only allowed four hits in 5+ innings tonight, but always seemed to be pitching out of trouble. His first hit allowed was a solo home un that scored the only run he gave up on the night. His second hit allowed was a triple, giving the Astros another scoring chance. Finally, he loaded the bases with one out in the fifth before inducing a double play to get out of trouble. This shakiness caused Terry Francona to pull him from the game after a lead-off walk in the sixth. Final Score: Cleveland Indians 2 - Houston Astros 1
