He made his $$$, now retire and play golf everyday Jason.
The Oakland A's released former Yankees Jason Giambi today (hat-tip to WasWatching.com). His body has quickly broken down, and this year he stopped hitting all together. He was hitting just .193/.332/.364 with 11 HR and 40 RBI in 83 games this season for Oakland. It's looks like this could be the end of the road for The Big G.

That's sad, because while he was one of the steroid era, he stood up like a man when caught and did not try to put a BS spin on it. Unlike Palmiero, McGwire, Bonds and now it looks like Ortiz as well. Hell, just take your medicine like a man when you get caught with your hand in the cookie jar. He doesn't look well either, I wish him luck in spite of his mistakes.

Nitwit of the Day - Jason Giambi
Poor steroid abuser, Jason Giambi. He got cut by the Oakland A’s because he sucks. He had the lowest batting average in the major leagues and he’s 38. He’s old but I’m sure if he was still on the juice he’d still be good. Steroids made him and steroids ruined him. Good job nitwit.
