Todd Zolecki and Scott Lauber both reported via Twitter that Carlos Ruiz was on a plane back to Philadelphia. He is having doctors take a look at his wrist and he plans to rejoin the team in Milwaukee.Ruiz has missed a number of games this season sue to injury and it is important that he be healthy for the playoffs. His defense is too good on the field, which makes up for his usually lacking offense. If the Phillies have to rely on Paul Bako for the playoffs, they could be in a bit of trouble.
