In order to make room for Pedro Martinez, slated to make his first start of the season tonight, Kyle Kendrick has been optioned back to triple A Lehigh Valley.In his three previous appearances out of the Phillies bullpen Kendrick pitched 3.1 innings and allowed two hits and walked two batters. In the process Kendrick did not allow a run to score.
