The New York Mets made a couple roster moves today, the surprising one is the placing of 2B Ruben Gotay on waivers. Gotay just recently rejoined the lineup after suffering a sprained ankle during camp. Unfortunately for him, Fernando Tatis has the front offices support for the final role on the bench. Acquiring a guy like Johnson doesn't give the Mets a bat they can rely on in the clutch, but it does give them depth. Something this Mets team lacks.
