Ken Rosenthal is reporting that the Boston Red Sox (now 2.5 games behind the Yanks) have once again signed Paul Byrd. They signed him to a minor league deal tonight and they expect the 38-year-old to be ready to join the major league staff by early September.I guess this was their response to the Ortiz signing.
