PLAYERS: Dustin Nippert
TEAMS: Texas Rangers

Rookie left-hander Derek Holland has allowed three runs and been replaced with the bases loaded an one out in the fourth inning. Dustin Nippert is in with the Rangers trailing 5-0. Holland, it appears, didn't care for Joe West's strike zone. It also appears that Holland might be running out of gas. Sure, his fastball still clocks at 93 or 94 mph at times, but his command isn't where it should be. He has thrown 115 1/3 innings, 35 fewer than at three levels last season, but many of them have been taxing innings. At a time of the year when the Rangers need their starters to give them a chance to win, Holland has failed to do that in three straight starts. -- Jeff Wilson

Texas Rangers' Josh Hamilton joins team, but not in lineup

All-Star outfielder Josh Hamilton has rejoined the Texas Rangers but is uncertain when his back injury will enable him to return to the lineup.

Scott Feldman: Rangers ace?

He's sure pitching like it. Scott Feldman may be a lot like this Rangers team. Admit it: Some of you keep thinking he's pitching over his head and will come back down to earth, don't you? It does not appear that's the case. Feldman had a great August (5-0, 2.39 ERA, including a complete game and 34 Ks) and followed that up with a solid start last night in Baltimore...

Scott Feldman ties Texas single-season road win record, carries Rangers past Orioles 5-1

Good news: This one's almost over

The Rangers have waved the white flag, as Marlon Byrd and Ian Kinlser were replaced in the seventh inning by Craig Gentry and Esteban German. Guillermo Moscoso pitched the seventh, allowing a run that made it 7-0, and Warner Madrigal is warming in the bullpen for the eighth. For Gentry, it is his major-league debut. -- Jeff Wilson

Who Will the Texas Rangers Start If They Make the Playoffs?

I don't have a ton to say, but I am truly interested what other people are thinking on this topic.  After two ultimately poor performances against the unimpressive Orioles it leaves me wondering who we would start in a playoff game. There is one obvious pick, and that is Scott Feldman.  He didn't even start the season in the rotation, but he has 15 wins and he has...
