But I wish him well in his current endeavor, which is to overcome the drug and alcohol problems that derailed his career. The Los Angeles Times today ran a nice story detailing Spiezio's comeback, at age 36 with the Orange County Flyers of the independent Golden Baseball League.

Carrizo Springs, Texas -- A worker on Chipper Jones' Texas ranch found a body on the sprawling property Thursday morning in southwest Texas, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

It's believed the man died of dehydration and exposure after entering the country illegally and trying to cross the Jones ranch in extreme heat.
