Trey Mancini elects free agency after stint with Angels

Veteran first baseman/outfielder Trey Mancini elected free agency on Monday after the Los Angeles Angels designated him for assignment last week. Mancini passed through waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Salt Lake, where he began his season, but declined the assignment in favor of free agency.
