The Phillies pounded the Cubs tonight in Pedro Martinez's Phillies debut. Meanwhile down south the Florida Marlins lost to the Houston Astros. Coupled with a victory b the Atlanta Braves the Marlins drop into a second place tie in the NL East.This also means that the magic number drops two places, decreasing from 48 to 46.
