The Rangers had a total of 22 Rawlings Gold Glove trophies on their roster in 2009 and made one of the biggest defensive improvements in baseball, yet for only the third time in the last 20 seasons no Texas player ended up with one of the awards. Probably the most deserving Ranger of consideration was not rookie SS Elvis Andrus, but 2B Ian Kinsler, who displayed greatly improved consistency. Kinsler, however, ranked third in the AL in UZR (Ultimate Zone Rating) behind winner Placido Polanco ...
