Last night, Tim Wakefield and the Red Sox were robbed of a victory by one of their own fans. Leading 2-1 in the fourth, Langerhans hit what should have been the second out of the inning. Instead, a "fan" reached out of the stands with his cap and snatched the ball before it could drop into Youk's glove. Langerhans hit the next pitch for a double and the floodgates opened...

Yet another Wake is Awesome post.
As we all know, Tim Wakefield is an All Star at last. Some people are very butthurt about it with good reason. I mean yes Millwood and/or Lester should've been an All Star but you know what? **** you, I love that Wake is an All Star. I'm irrational, yes, but I'm happy for the guy and he's finally getting some recognition. It's lame, yes, but honestly it's the ******* All Star Game...

Red Sox manager Terry Francona had a little fun with Tim Wakefield after the 42-year-old knuckleballer made his first All-Star team.
Shining, a Star or not
The years have obscured the decisions and blurred the records. So much so that even the participants are fuzzy on the details. This much is clear: Tim Wakefield was not selected for the 1995 All-Star Game, and has not been selected for any All-Star Game since.
On Baseball: Little freedom of choice
The ire over Major League Baseball's All-Star Game rosters, as predictable a rite of summer as Fourth of July fireworks and second-degree sunburns, has arrived again. This time most of it is centered around two players: Tim Wakefield, Boston's 42-year-old knuckleballer making his first career All-Star appearance despite a 4.30 ERA, and Ryan Howard, the Phillies first baseman picked...

All-Star Sox
Major League Baseball announced the All-Star selections today, an amalgam of selections among fans, players, and managers.Dustin Pedroia and Jason Bay got voted onto the team. Pedroia, the reigning MVP, checks in statistically behind Ian Kinsler and Aaron Hill, but the feisty second baseman got the love. Bay, newly minted as a US citizen, gets the nod in left.Player voting brought...

Six members of the Boston Red Sox will be heading to St. Louis for the All-Star Game on July 14th. Jason Bay and Dustin Pedroia were elected by the fans. That guy from New York (his name escapes me at the moment) beat out Kevin Youkilis at first, but Youk was added to the roster, as were pitchers Jonathan Papelbon and Josh Beckett. Also on is Tim Wakefield, who will be making his...
