Thinking about Dusty Baker
Some things I was just wondering about…
Dusty Baker continuing to lead off Willy Taveras and building the lineups he does — is that the single worst thing any recent Reds manager has done to hurt the team’s chances of winning?
Usually lineup construction doesn’t have a big impact, but the Reds are close to being a good team, their offense is terrible, and they lose a lot...
Welcome Back Edwin

Bailey’s Gem Broken Down
Homer Bailey limited the Cardinals to two runs over 7 1/3 innings, but was dealt a no-decision in an eventual 7-4 loss on Friday night.
It’s a shame that his brilliant outing had to get erased on one swing by the mighty Albert Pujols. Bailey gave up a single to Skip Schumaker to start the [...]
Viva Votto!
Joey Votto appears to have beaten his demons. He went 4 for 6 Thursday afternoon against the Diamondbacks. In the ninth, a single moved Hairston into scoring position with none out, then two ground outs were able to bring him around to score and tie the game. Then in the tenth, the [...]
FB365's Morning Drive 7/3/09
In Cincinnati, Chris Dickerson is making a case for the full time centerfield job. As Willy Taveras continues not to get on base (NOT A SINGLE WALK IN THE MONTH OF JUNE!!) Dickerson finds himself with a respectable .288 AVG and .389 OBP. He's not doing much with regards to power or stolen bases, but if by chance Dusty Baker decides to bat him leadoff because, deep breath, HE...
