Edwin Encarnacion was activated from the 60 day disabled list. Danny Richar was placed on the 15 day d.l. in his place.
Encarnacion, who had been out with a wrist fracture, had been hitting in his rehab games, and should slot in immediately as the everyday third baseman for the Reds.
