Found February 09, 2009 on Dunn and Dunner:

Bob Miller had a chat on Reds.com and all it did was piss me off.

For example:

gibberish: What do you think Willy Taveras will bring to the team?

Miller: Speed, excellent play in center field. Hopefully he combines his last two years (.367 OBP in '07 and 68 SB in '08).

So the Reds gave Taveras $6.25 million to hopefully combines his last 2 years in OBP from '07 and SB from '08. I hope he doesn't combine his OBP of '08, and his SB of '07, which is much more likely.

Now lets just continue down the chat.

jonjon:
For the first time in a long time, the Reds Minor League system seems to be stocked with good, young players. Who can we anticipate seeing in the near future?

Miller: Valaika, Frazier, Alonso, Jordan Smith, Roenicke, and Francisco.

No Stubbs listed. Hmm... Oh thats probably because we have Willy Taveras!

pixiedixie: What do you think about the Reds' chances to win the World Series this year?

Miller: Better than they have been in recent history.

In other words "better than 0%", also nice name Pixiedixie.

gasomr: Are the Reds in the "win now" mode or "build for the future" mode?

Miller: BOTH!

Me:
FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

abbott12: Is there any chance the Reds will make Manny Ramirez an offer to replace the power we have lost in our lineup?

Miller: No. $25 mill is a little out of our price range.

David Weathers $3.5 Million
Willy Taveras $2.25 Million
Jerry Hairston Jr. $2 million
Mike Lincoln $1.5 million
Dusty Baker $3.5 million

Now I agree $25 million is nuts, but don't give me shit about out it being out of price range when you wasted $12.75 million on guys you probably shouldn't have or probably didn't need.

cromerman: What is the realistic potential of this team this year?

Miller: I believe we improved the most in our division.

Improve the most? By what adding Ramon Hernandez and Willy Taveras? Lord we are grasping for straws aren't we? If we are improved I guess we might be looking at a 3rd place finish because those improvements certainly aren't major. Why not just say "We didn't get worse", of course they can't say that because Willy Taveras might actually be worse.

lonepine12: Would't Melky Cabrera be a good fit to the Reds' outfield (at a low cost)?

Miller: There are lots of players that fit that category, but the other team has to want to trade them to you, and for what you think is a good deal.

Wrong answer Bob. The right answer is "Melky Cabrera sucks"

houdini11: Would Owings be a possible Rick Ankiel for the Reds?

Miller: No, he's a pitcher who can hit.

Sick burn there Bob although I don't think you meant it that way.

perryjm: If the asking price is low, is there any chance you might be able to sign Bobby Abreu?

Miller: If the price is right, anything goes.

Translated from baseball talk to English: "We have no money". It's a shame some of that $12.75 million isn't available.

What a waste of time.

Pompey´s Traore loaned to Birmingham

Birmingham City signed Djimi Traore on Tuesday from Premier League strugglers Portsmouth on a three-month emergency loan deal. Five things I’d like to see from Liverpool

Do The Kyle Lohse!

Last off season, despite a free weak free agent class, SP Kyle Lohse was unable to nab a long term contract.
