With the latest news that Jose Reyes will be returning to team doctors because he continues to have discomfort in his leg, I say it's time to air on the side of caution and shut him down. I appreciate Reyes efforts to return, but lets face it, the season is over and he's to valuable to risk further injury. Quite frankly I don't trust the Mets staff to give him the green light anyway."He has a good day and then he has two bad days. It's just not getting better," Chris Leible, one of Reyes' agents, said. "Jose is more frustrated than anybody that he's not feeling better and not able to get out there and play." source NY PostI wouldn't just say that about Reyes, apparently Carlos Beltran is pushing himself to return and depending on who's report you read, he may be attempting to return at the risk of knee surgery. I would take the same approach with Beltran, shut it down and wait til next year...
