The player who proclaimed Baltimore a horseshit city got his due Monday … a deal to Detroit.
Aubrey Huff, who got drunk on an offseason radio show, painted a porn star’s bare ass and called his team’s city “a horseshit town,” closed the book on his Baltimore years.
“I’ve been in last place basically my whole career,” Huff said after the trade. “So this is an exciting time for me.”
Until, of course, he actually arrives in Detroit. And anyway, in 2006, in a similar cost-cutting move, Tampa Bay sent Huff to Houston for the Astros’ failed playoff push.
I ranted that he should be cut immediately after his radio fun. But he came back with a huge 2008 season and quieted the waters....
