The White Sox went a second day without closer Bobby Jenks on Friday and will have to endure at least one more. Jenks is trying to pass painful kidney stones.

Tying up some loose trade deadline ends
Jake Peavy to the White Sox out of the blue. Aaron Poreda and three guys who don't do just a ton for me (though Dexter Carter is gaining fans this season) are going to SD. Peavy has been unwilling to allow a trade to Arlington, so it's not even worth comparing the price with Rangers prospects.
