  • Wow, what a list! I'm a huge Cardinal fan and too ashamed to admit my score.
  • That's because this is the dumbest quiz ever made. You can't put pre-modern era players on a quiz like this, it's a different game. Also, you've got plenty of players that didn't even pitch 5 years at St. Louis. Try adding those requirements, because any career ERA quiz that does NOT have Bob Gibson on it for the Cardinals is a sham.

Rebuttal from some "Frontrunners": Thanks J-Roll

"I might catch some flack for saying this, but, you know, they're front-runners. When you're doing good, they're on your side. When you're doing bad, they're completely against you...St. Louis, it seems like they support their team, they're out there and encouraging. In Philly, can't be no punk." ~Jimmy Rollins Click on the URL to read both my...

Todd Wellemeyer Strong-Arms the Cards to 3-0 Win

It didn't much matter if the St. Louis Cardinals got a whole lot of offense tonight, because with the way starter Todd Wellemeyer was pitching, there was no need for it. Wellemeyer tossed 7.2 scoreless innings while giving up just three hits as he worked in dominant fashion. We finally saw the Wellemeyer that started the season out 7-1, and his ERA now sits at a comfortable 3...

Kyle Lohse's Fairytale is Over

BleacherReport.com's Peter Fleischer reporting. As fun as it has been to watch Kyle Lohse emerge from obscurity this season, I will be the first to claim that the fairytale is over for Mr. Lohse. As a Cardinals fan, it pains me a little because Lohse has been the de facto ace in place of injured arms, and he's been a fun story for Cardinal fans to follow. But that time is...

Is ESPN Writing off the Cardinals too soon?

BleacherReport.com's Joel Koch reporting. From Baseball Tonight, which aired at 11:30pm (central) on August 14. Robert Flores: “Will anyone catch the Cubs?” Buster Olney: “The answer’s no. No one’s catching the Cubs. They’re running away and the Brewers will be the Wild Card.” Does anyone else feel like Olney just picked up a batting glove and slapped Cardinals Nation...
