Redleg Nation:
Well, Francisco Cordero blew another game last night. This is getting old.
As great as CoCo has been for most of the season (and he’s been lights out much of the time), he’s been pretty bad lately. I know it was a topic of discussion in the game thread last night, and RHM is asking whether CoCo has been overused.
Cordero has pitched in five straight games, and six of the last seven. This comes on the heels of a bad stretch a couple of weeks ago where it was clear that CoCo was exhausted…yet Dusty Baker kept running him out there night after night.
Are we crazy? Is Dusty mis-using the Reds highest-paid asset late in this lost season? I dunno, but the signs are not encouraging.
