Detroit Tigers pitcher Jeremy Bonderman has been suspended for three games for intentionally hitting Minnesota's Delmon Young on a knee with a pitch.
Bonderman, who also was fined, appealed the penalty assessed Friday by Major League Baseball vice president Bob Watson, delaying the start of the suspension.
