Cole Hamels, The Baby-It felt like a rerun watching the game last night. Hamels was solid for a few innings, then a call didn't go his way (Teixeira ball 4), the sulking began, and then a crushing hit by the opposition (A-Rod's camera ball). Phils still had the 3-2 lead heading into the top of the 5th, but Cole imploded and the game was lost. Hamels postseason ERA- 7.58, 7 hr allowed, and a .316 average against. Following the game Cole laughed it up with reporters and offered this poorly timed and worded quote... "I can't wait for it to end. It's been mentally draining. But, you know what, it's one of those things, a year in, you just can't wait for a fresh start."Ryan Howard, The Wind Maker-Howard is prone to striking out, he's fanned 878 times in 732 regular season games, but he's taking it to a new level in the World Series with 9 k's in 13 at bats (69%).Jayson Werth & Chooch Ruiz, The Hope-These two seem to be the only positional players that can hack it against the Yank...

  • So the filly fans already named the ARod homer last night, that's great...really funny. Make sure you have plenty of built in excuses for later on. That ball was out of the park if the camera was not there and you all know it. There have been plenty of blown calls by the umpires in this post season against both sides, but they got that one right.
  • I didn't say it wasn't a homerun you douche. It hit the camera, hence it being called "camera ball". You're a f'n genius!
  • Didn't take long for that good old philadelphia class to show itself. Way to debate there gm, LMAO.
  • F' you and your "Philadelphia class" comment. Seriously dude, you're the one that came on here with stupid comments, I basically just pointed out your retardedness and you get all panty-waste on me.
  • I'm not exactly certain, but I don't think retardedness is a word. Just pointing that out bright light. Now, You are free to go finish your hissy fit now.
  • No cameras involved in this ass whoopin'!!!!

Game 3 pregame: Hamels must get back to basics

I don't profess to know the secret to being a successful major league pitcher, but there are a few common sense approaches Cole Hamels needs to follow tonight. We've all recognized Hamels' need for a third pitch, which isn't going to happen until the offseason. The Inquirer's Jim Salisbury wrote today that Hamels will work on adding a cutter or slider, in addition...

Brad Lidge and Cole Hamels were the Phillies' two best pitchers in 2008 and played key roles in their World Series victory. In a 27-hour span, their disastrous performances in the 2009 Fall Classic have all but derailed Philadelphia's repeat bid, Danny Knobler says.

Philadelphia's Cole Hamels says he wants the ball, clarifies remarks that caused a stir

Reflections on the Phillies-Yankees Game Last Night

1. As a Phillies' fan, it's hard to say that Cole Hamels disappointed me. How he pitched last night has pretty much been the way he's worked all year. He can go 4, 5 innings and pitch well, only to have the floor come out from under him thereafter. There are a few reasons for this. First, he was a three-pitch pitcher last year, and all of those pitches worked well for him. ...
