I tried trading Sosa, Mora, and Bill Hall for Shields, Chad Gaudin, and B.J. Upton like 6 weeks ago and the guy wouldn't budge. I had to settle for Penny and Capuano. I like Shields because his WHIP (Walks/Hits per inning) is so low. That is a great sign that he will be a stud starter.

Shields is super for me cause I'm in a weekly move roto league with IP as a category and he never throws less than 7. It's awesome.

Today, Johan Santana is turning 30 years old! The ace that was traded to the Mets last off-season from the Minnesota Twins, is loving New York! After coming off a minor injury, if you can even call it minor, Johan is looking for another successful season with the Mets. In the first year at Citi Field, hopefully Santana can lead the Mets to their first World Series title in 23 years.
