I have to admit, when I heard about this MLB ’13 The Show “Cover Vote” that’s taking place this week, I didn’t think Andrew McCutchen had much of a shot. As awesome and likable as he is, I thought the more established competition with far bigger fan-bases would be too much to handle. Remember the All-Star voting when he didn’t even really come close to getting a starting spot? Apparently Bucco Nation is more interested in video games than All Star games. Through two days of voting (you can vote here), he has a steady lead and is showing no signs of slowing down. Part of that is because Pirate fans are absolutely crazy on Twitter, and part of it is because Cutch has been getting some pretty legitimate endorsements. He’s got the Steelers… #MLB13Cutch. @thecutch22 cover boy — Brett Keisel (@bkeisel99) January 8, 2013 Let’s get my boy @thecutch22 on the cover guys! Everyone, please retweet and include #MLB13Cutch to help my hometown guy @thecutch22 get the cover of @mlbtheshow #Pittsburgh — Dennis Miller Show (@DennisDMZ) January 6, 2013 Pretty cool stuff. I don’t really care all that much if Cutch gets on the cover of a video game or not, but the support he’s getting is impressive.
