I hated him, but that was one of the prettiest swings that I've seen. As a New York Yankees fan, I have vivid memories of Manny Ramirez as a Cleveland Indian and a Boston Red Sock.  It’s a shame that many people will choose to remember Ramirez as an immature goofball or, worse, simply as a cheater and a symbol of what they perceive to be wrong with Major League Baseball.  Ramirez is certainly 100% responsible for painting himself as a clown and a guy who on a given night could become the best player on the opposing team.  He is also the only one to blame for his reputation as a quitter and a cheater.  With all of the negative though, there is no way I can forget what Manny Ramirez really is: one of the best and most fearsome hitters I have ever watched in my life. .312/.411/.585.  How do you like that for a career triple slash line?  He has a career OPS of .996.  That is simply incredible.  Sure, some of his numbers may have been boosted by steroid use, but as hard as he w...
