Now I'm not going to sit here and tell you what I think is going to happen this offseason for the Mets. This is based purely off of my imagination. This is what could potentially happen during the offseason.
1. The Mets lose Jose Reyes to some team willing to give the injury prone shortstop over 5 years and $100 million. This leaves the Mets with Ruben Tejada at the reins at short and gives them some financial relief, although they lose one of the best players in baseball, when he's healthy of course.
2. The Mets cut ties with their unnamed captain and trade David Wright. The Mets will finally give up on David Wright, who puts too much pressure on himself, and send him off to a team that has many players carrying the load, not just one. Gives the Mets plenty of financial relief and guaranteed high value prospect or even multiple high value prospects.
3. With all the extra money the Mets have lying around from the previous 2 scenarios, they go out and sign 1B Albert Pujo...
