Physics and probability put together are really cool. What are the chances we will ever see a hit ball smack guard rail at just the right speed and angle where it will bounce way up into the air about 20-25 feet then land in the second deck? Probably pretty slim. But that’s exactly what happened with an Adam Jones home run at Target Field when the Baltimore Orioles took on the Twins. Check out this line shot that appears to ricochet up, but never comes back down. We don’t see the ball actually land in the second deck, but we never see it come back down in the left field stands.
