What an indictment it is when your released after it takes the Mets seven relievers to hold onto a game against a last place team that you had a six run lead on and your not one of the pitchers involved in the meltdown. That's what Al Reyes faced today when he was released prior to the game. Reyes never made one relief appearance with the Mets, many including myself thought he might end up closing games for the Mets. But the Mets weren't happy with how he looked in AA or during his bullpen sessions, Reyes warmed up several times but never came into a game.
