Turns out, Alex Rodriguez and the New York Yankees took those words seriously, as A-Rod went to Germany for some experimental treatment on his knee and shoulder. You can’t make this stuff up.
A-Rod only played in 99 games last season, his lowest total since he was a 19 year old. He’s lost a significant amount of time due to injuries over the past few years. Third base is a physically demanding position, and the 36 year old Rodriguez wasn’t looking like he would be able to play it for much longer. A scary thought, considering he’s owed $143M through 2017.
This procedure, however, was approved by both the Yankees and MLB. So before anybody starts claiming that Rodriguez is cheating, it’s a legitimate medical procedure. The question is, will this be of help to Rodriguez, or is this the equivalent of medical voodoo that would have even...
