Guess who’s going to be back in the Bronx soon Alex Rodriguez. Our third baseman is going to be playing sometime this weekend and the Yankees couldn’t need him more.
A-Rod has spent the last year drowning in all the publicity he’s gotten. No doubt he deserves this hate that’s being thrown his way, he admitted to doing steroids and he is the highest paid and most talented player in the MLB today and he plays in the Bronx who couldn’t see this one coming. I like A-Rod as a player, but many Yankee fans don’t seem to give him any respect because he seems to quite flaccid when it comes to hitting in the clutch. You fans are stupid, the last Yankee game I went to was the 5th to last game of the year in Yankee Stadium, and a screaming line drive flew right past A-Rod and into left field. The fans around my area which happened to be 7 rows away from him(I love my rich friends) started yelling at him for missing the ball. I stood up and jokingly screamed “ Yea Brosius would have made that play” these air deprived fans around me answered “yea he would have and we wouldn’t have to pay him 26 mil a year either.” (The underlined phrase represents the dumbest thing I’ve heard since the last time Mark Schlerth opened his mouth) He isn’t appreciated at all in NY; most fans have already blown him off like another horrendous investment the Yanks have made. Let’s just look at his numbers over the past 5 seasons in pinstripes he’s averaged 41 home runs, 123 RBI’s, .302 batting average and a .400 OBP a year. I can think of maybe one other player in the league that might be able to get that high of numbers year in and year out.
