The New York Yankees have a deal in place to bring Alfonso Soriano back to where his career first started. This is a salary dump by the Cubs. Soriano still has fantasy value left in him and has hit at least 20 home runs in every season since 2002. He already has 17 long balls this season and could add another 10 at Yankee Stadium. Also, considering how much trouble the Yankees have had scoring recently, it's safe to assume Joe Girardi will place him in the middle of the lineup, increasing his RBI chances. Can't imagine they would bat him at the top of the lineup, since he owns a career .321 OBP, but that seems to be his place in lineups. Soriano, 37, would be joining the team with which he broke into the Major Leagues back in 1999. The Dominican native played with the Bombers from 1999-2003 before being traded to the Rangers along with Joaquin Arias for Alex Rodriguez. In 378 plate appearances for the Cubs this season, Soriano is batting .256/.286/.471 with 17 home runs. - MLBTradeRumors
