An Open Letter to Southern California Baseball

Dear Southern California Baseball, My relationship with you began the moment I decided I was a Giants fan at the age of four.  From then on, I knew that I had to possess an irrational but oddly satisfying hatred for the Dodgers.  Since then my passion for Giants baseball has not wavered.  Then 2002 came along, and it looked like finally my beloved team would be crowned World Series champions.  Alas, it was not so, and quite frankly I blame you as much as I do Dusty Baker and Livan Hernandez.  The Angels snatched certain glory in the form of Scott Spiezio and some poor choices by our manager.  The heartbreak induced by this incident has not been forgotten, and served only to add another Southern California to my list of teams to root against.
