There’s no doubt that the play of Jed Lowrie has been a highlight of the A’s offense all season long – he’s hitting over .300 and has managed to stay healthy enough to play in 75 of the team’s 82 games thus far in 2013.
He isn’t the problem – but the tandem of Eric Sogard and Adam Rosales is an area in which the A’s can (and should) improve to further strengthen their postseason aspirations.
Two days ago, a piece on FanGraphs titled The Most Obvious Trade That Needs to Happen was published, putting together a very strong case for the A’s to bring in Chase Utley from the Phillies by the July 31st trade deadline.
