(Boston Herald Photo: Matt Stone)Until last season, Andrew Miller had been a puzzle to every team he played for. Then, the 6'7" lefty came into his own—mostly by getting control of his pitches—and had a terrific (although injury-shortened) year (2.64 ERA). This year, he's continued the trend. Through 36.1 innings, he's posted a stellar 2.23 ERA—striking out 58 batters. His 0.991 WHIP is one of the best in the league. So, of course, several contenders are interested in his services—not the least of which are the Atlanta Braves. The Bravos are in serious need of a stable lefty out of the 'pen and they are very serious about obtaining Miller. It's unclear what Boston could get in return, but it should be a pretty good talent. Interestingly, Miller is a free agent at the end of the season, so Ben Cherington could do a "wink-wink" deal and bring Miller back for 2015.
