Los Angeles Angels righthander Ervin Santana threw his third complete game in four starts in a 5-1 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays.
Santana (9-8) won his fifth consecutive start by allowing one run on seven hits.
The only time he has failed to go the distance in his last four starts was his last time out, when he went 8 1/3 innings in a 2-1 victory over Seattle.
During his five-game winning streak, Santana has surrendered only five runs in 43 innings. He has not lost since June 21.
