Of those 43 pitchers, only one other pitcher besides Ervin Santana has thrown a complete game win after throwing the no-hitter. No-hitters are truly magical events. As Clyde Wright, the Angels' great who threw a no-hitter says, "it's the only thing in baseball where you can say 'I did that.'" For his performance, Santana was named the American League's Co-Player of the Week.
