Another Angels Exec Has Exited the Organization

Carlyle spent his time as the pitching coordinator for the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels, the Rocket City Trash Pandas. 

Before his time with the Halos, he pitched in the majors and overseas for 16 years. In his major league career, he had a record of 13-13 with an ERA of 5.14 and 232 strikeouts as a reliever. 

Carlyle's exit came at the right time as the Trash Pandas had an ERA of 5.27 in the 2023 season, with a 4.23 FIP, 3.58 xFIP, and contact percentage of 70%. Clearly, things didn't work out for him in the organization, leading to his release. 

We'll see who will replace Buddy, as it is crucial they find the right person to develop these young players who could play a significant role for the Halos down the road. 

Changes continue to come to the Halos organization this offseason. Don't expect Carlyle to be the last one.
