When the news came that the Toronto Blue Jays had called up their top prospect and star outfielder Anthony Gose, it came as a shock and a surprise to us all. He impressed in his first stint with the Blue Jays in 2012 with fifteen stolen bases in just parts of fifty-six games. Going into spring training with the big league ball club this year, Gose knew he wasn’t going to break camp with them due to the logjam of talented outfielders already in the Blue Jays outfield. Another season of development and ironing out the creases in his swing beckoned with Triple-A affiliate, the Buffalo Bisons. It has been anything but a happy time for Gose in his time with the Bisons this year however. The former first round draft pick batted just .227 with two home runs, twelve RBIs and a somewhat confusing five stolen bases in forty games this season and there are still plenty of creases in his swing.
