Arizona State gave new meaning to the words “hot new uniforms” on Monday.
The Sun Devils introduced brand-new helmets for their upcoming game against Notre Dame, and they are certainly a sight to behold. Instead of one solid color, each helmet will be decked out with a crown of flames, as well as three of the team’s signature pitchfork logos.
Like the lids Maryland wore two weeks ago, ASU’s new helmets are all individually painted, meaning no two flame patterns will be identical.
Check them out in the photos below.

The Arizona State Sun Devils unveiled these special helmets for their Shamrock Series with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and they are strange. The three pitchfork logos, coupled with the fireballs makes for one unique helmet, but a strange one at that. The helmet they wore last week looks better than this helmet and they would be better off wearing that, in my opinion.
Not only is Arizona State-Notre Dame going to be a great game this weekend as part of the Shamrock Series for the Fighting Irish, but it’s also going to be a serious fashion show. Yesterday, the Sun Devils began teasing a new uniform for the matchup, but just revealed a new helmet at today’s press conference — here it is:
