The Houston Astros purchased the contract of minor league righthander Henry Sosa, who will start Wednesday vs. Arizona.
Sosa, 26, was brought up from Triple-A Oklahoma City, where he tossed seven scoreless innings in his last start. He has a 4.53 ERA in the minor leagues this season.
Acquired from San Francisco in the Jeff Keppinger deal, Sosa will take J.A. Happ's place in the rotation.
To make room for Sosa, the Astros optioned lefthander Wesley Wright to Oklahoma City. Wright was called up on the weekend and gave up one run in two innings.
