Houston Astros reliever Brandon Lyon has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with tendinitis in his right biceps less than a week after returning from his first trip to the DL. Lyon, who started the season as Houston's closer, missed more than a month on the DL with the same problem before he was activated last Thursday. He has struggled in his three appearances since, allowing a home run in each and a total of eight earned runs. Astros manager Brad Mills says Lyon's arm has been bothering him and that they decided to place him on the DL after consulting with doctors on Wednesday. Left-hander Fernando Abad was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City to take Lyon's spot on the roster.
