When the Braves traded for Justin Upton the Diamondbacks fans were not sorry to see him go. He didn't suck (D-backs fans may say differently, but his numbers are okay), but he just wasn't the player they thought he was going to be (I'm assuming).
Like he has been for Atlanta.
Playing with his brother seems to be agreeing with Justin, because since he has joined forces with B.J. in Atlanta he has been an absolute stud. Last season he hit 17 home runs in 150 games and over 500 at-bats. This season, in just 50 at-bats over 13 games he has eight home runs!
"I’m getting my work in and trying to put together good at-bats every game and not give away any at-bats,” Upton said. “Early on I’ve been able to go up with a plan and stick to it.”
His hot start along with quality play from other Braves like Chris Johnson and Evan Gattis has Atlanta riding the league's longest winning streak, 10 games.
