When you see pitching match ups such as Justin Verlander vs CC Sabathia, R.A. Dickey vs Jon Lester, Stephen Strasburg vs Johnny Cueto, Cole Hamels vs James Shields, Ian Kennedy vs Yovani Gallardo, Yu Darvish vs Jered Weaver and Adam Wainwright vs Matt Cain you expect a ton of low scoring pitching duels. However on Sunday there was no such thing as a pitchers duel. I'm not sure what was going on but nearly all the aces who threw on Sunday had their struggles. There was a ton of hitting and a very limited amount of quality starts.Aside from some really bad starting pitching, both Yu Darvish  and Jered Weaver were removed from Sunday Night Baseball with injuries. Darvish re-aggravated the blister that he suffered during his first start against the Astros when he came up 1 out short of a perfect game, and Jered Weaver suffered a strained left elbow. Weaver possibly hyperextended his elbow as he tried to avoid being hit by a come backer off the bat of Mitch Moreland.Luckily these guys are aces for a reason and they're the best in the business. There is no doubt in my mind that they will bounce back and put up the kind of stats that they are capable of. DO NOT panic because of a poor outing in their second start of the year. Remember the baseball season is very long!R.A Dickey - 4.2 IP, 10 H, 8 R, 7 ER, 2 BB, 5 K, 2 HRBoston came out of the gates hacking, as they hit Dickey up with a five-spot in the first frame and tacked on single runs in the third, fourth and fifth. Dickey's knuckler hasn't been fluttering as hoped in his first two starts, as he's now posted an 8.44 ERA and 1.97 WHIP. He'll try to rebound next weekend in Kansas City. - Yahoo Stephen Strasburg - 5.1 IP, 9 H, 6 R, 6 ER, 4 BB, 5 KHe gave up nine hits and walked four, throwing 114 pitches on the day. The Reds hung a three-spot on Strasburg in the first frame, and the knocked him out with another three runs in the sixth. It's a rare blowup start from the youngster, but a rebound next weekend against the Braves should be expected. - Rotoworld Cole Hamels - 5.2 IP, 9 H, 8 R, 8 ER, 4 BB, 2 K, 1 HRHamels gave up the first grand slam of his career and the Phillies’ left-handed ace muddled through his second straight sub-par outing this season as Philadelphia lost to the Kansas City Royals, 9-8, on Sunday. - NJDavid Price - 5 IP, 10 H, 8 R, 8 ER, 3 BB, 3 K, 2 HRPrice had difficulty from start to finish, yielding 10 hits -- including three home runs -- while walking three. He's now 0-1 with an 8.18 ERA and 2.00 WHIP through two starts this season. The ace left-hander will try to get on track later this week against the Red Sox. - RotoworldMatt Cain - 3.2 IP, 7 H, 9 R, 9 ER, 2 BB, 2 KCain was cruising through the first three innings of Sunday's matchup, retiring the first nine batters the Cardinals sent to the plate. But things changed in the fourth inning as the Cardinals plated nine runs against him and Cain got the early hook. - ESPN
