The Binghamton Mets and Erie SeaWolves played into the bottom of the fourth inning before rain suspended play on Wednesday afternoon at Jerry Uht Park. The game, which was halted with Binghamton leading 1-0, will be completed on August 9th.
After rain and fog delayed the start of the game for 87 minutes, the B-Mets teed off on Erie starter Patrick Cooper, but had nothing to show for it through three innings. Binghamton racked up five hits and two walks, but stranded six men on base in three scoreless frames.
Binghamton finally cracked the scoreboard with a two outs in the fourth. After Danny Muno walked and took second on a wild pitch, Alonzo Harris dumped an RBI single into left field, giving the B-Mets a 1-0 lead. The hit extended Harris season-opening hitting streak to six games.
