Adam Kolarek won his second game in four appearances on Tuesday night
The Binghamton Mets and New Britain Rock Cats played two on Tuesday night at NYSEG Stadium, with both teams taking one game of the doubleheader. In game one, the B-Mets battled back from being down five to two to win nine to eight in walk off fashion. Game two saw the Rock Cats score eight runs again, and this time the B-Mets were unable to come back as they dropped the nightcap by an eight to one tally.
Game one saw Cory Mazzoni on the mound at the outset for the B-Mets, making his ninth start of the season for Binghamton and his first against the Rock Cats. Of Mazzoni’s nine starts, four of them have come in doubleheaders. Mazzoni lasted six innings allowing six runs, five of which were earned, on nine hits. He struck out three and walked two.
