The Springfield Cardinals, the Double AA affiliate for the St. Louis Cardinals, had two prospects playing in the Futures Game on Sunday night. - (Photo credit: Wikipedia) The future was on display Sunday night in Kansas City to kick off Major League Baseball's All-Star weekend at Kauffman Stadium. The St. Louis Cardinals sent a pair of representatives to the Futures Game on Sunday night. Second baseman Kolten Wong and outfielder Oscar Taveras, both members of the Double AA Springfield Cardinals, played in the prestigious event held for some of the best minor league and future Major League talent. Wong, a native of Hawaii, hit second in the U.S. lineup. Taveras, a native of the Dominican Republic, hit third in the World Lineup. Both Wong and Taveras put on shows before the game.
