Bryan Petersen hit a homer to pace New Orleans to a victory. Bryan Petersen paced New Orleans to a 7-4 win over Tucson on Thursday night going two-for-five including a triple and his eighth homer of the season. Kevin Kouzmanoff added a homer and three RBI as New Orleans (60-59) got a solid outing from their staff including three innings from Rett Varner and Robert Morey (1-0) to go with two innings from Adam Reifer and the final inning from Josh Wall. Jacksonville fell at the hands of Pensacola 6-4 despite a home run and three RBI from Zack Cox. Adam Conley started the game going five innings allowing 11 hits and six runs to drop his record to 11-5 on the season. Greensboro got a home run from first-round pick Colin Moran, his second of his career, and three hits from Cameron Flynn to defeat August 6-1. Dane Stone pitched 2 2/3 innings of scoreless relief to pick up the win. In rehab action, Casey Kotchman went 0-for-three in a stint with Jacksonville, while pitcher Elih Villanueva pitched five innings, allowing five hits and one run in a start for the Gulf Coast League Marlins.
