The Baltimore Orioles have placed catcher Taylor Teagarden on the 15-day disabled list with a dislocated left thumb. He is expected to miss as much as a month in time. He has gone hitless in 13 at-bats this season.

Baltimore Orioles catcher Taylor Teagarden has been placed on the 15-day disabled list Sunday, a day after dislocating his left thumb.
Teagarden started Baltimore's 7-3 win over the Oakland Athletics on Saturday but was knocked out of the game in the sixth inning when the Orioles' backup catcher was hit on the hand by a foul ball off the bat of Josh Donaldson.
The Baltimore Orioles, in search of a backup replacement after having had to put Taylor Teagarden on the disabled list has recalled catcher Luis Exposito from Triple-A Norfolk. Much like Teagarden, Exposito will play sparingly behind star Matt Wieters.
