Only because the schedule mandates it, the Seattle Mariners and Oakland Athletics are still playing baseball. There is an upside to having your games lack any meaning, however--you get to attempt nifty little baseball tricks like foul tipping a pitch so it sticks in the catcher's facemask, a feat which was performed perfectly by Oakland's Cliff Pennington and Seattle's Josh Bard. Good job guys, you made it into a Tauntr GIF. It's no postseason, but at least now your season isn't a complete waste.
