This year’s Hall of Fame Class includes Alex Monchak, Pat Harmon, Casey Kotchman, Trevor Hoffman and Jim Curran.
Proceeds from this event help the Kernels Foundation accomplish its vision of ensuring that all youth in Eastern Iowa have the opportunity to experience the thrills and life-enhancing lessons that come from engaging in athletics and recreational activities.

Twins Perkins honored to get WBC nod
ST. PAUL, Minn. Throughout his entire seven-year major league career, Glen Perkins has known only one uniform: the red, white and blue of the Minnesota Twins. This March, though, Perkins will don another uniform of the same colors when he represents the United States in the World Baseball Classic.
Perkins, the Twins' 29-year-old closer, found out the news last Friday when he...
Twins' Blackburn to undergo wrist surgery
MINNEAPOLIS Minnesota starter Nick Blackburn ended last year in the minor leagues, and it appears doubtful that he'll start the 2013 season in the majors.
The team announced Monday that Blackburn will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right wrist Wednesday at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. The surgery means that Blackburn will be in a cast for six weeks, which means he will...
Twins' Nick Blackburn To Have Wrist Surgery
The Minnesota Twins starting rotation has been a work in progress all

consider it) yesterday, when the team disclosed that Nick Blackburn will
undergo surgery on his right (throwing) wrist Wednesday at the Mayo Clinic.
Blackburn, who will turn 31 in February,
has struggled with pain in his wrist since...
Twins fans, let’s embrace this team
Late last week, there was a debate induced, initially, by Nick Nelson over whether or not Twins fans should be frustrated with the course the Twins have taken this off-season.More specifically, the question was asked if people should be frustrated with Terry Ryan.
I think the question leads to unfair conclusions that this off-season has been entirely about Ryan and his decision...

The Minnesota Twins right-hander pitched so poorly last season, he not only was sent to the minors, but he also was removed from the team's 40-man roster. In October, he had a bone chip surgically removed from his right elbow. On Monday, the Twins announced that Blackburn needs another operation. He'll have right wrist...
Gardenhire: Pitching a priority this offseason
MINNEAPOLIS Sure, it might be the heart of hockey season in the State of Hockey, especially with the NHL starting back up this week. But for Ron Gardenhire and the Minnesota Twins, this week also indicates a step closer to baseball season.
On Monday, Gardenhire and other Twins players and coaches began the annual Winter Caravan, a lead-up to TwinsFest later this month at the Metrodome...
Links of the Day 1/15/13
Hey everyone, I have an episode of Rhino and Compass Radio coming this afternoon at 3pm. Link here.
Nick Blackburn will have surgery, and will keep having surgery until another season is lost. Say what you will about the FA signings this off-season, at least they aren’t Nick Blackburn.
At a soccer game in Turkey, the field was raided…. ADORABLY.
Here is another NFL Mock draft...
